Steps for Enrollment in SCP 2024
- Fill out the SCP application form (If interested in a specific chapter, ensure including your interest in the Form).
- Await confirmation from the Sister Chapter Program Committee regarding the announcement of sister chapter pairs matching (by 15 March – 1 April 2024).
- Actively participate in Sister Chapter Program activities upon confirmation.
Key Dates for SCP 2024
- Monday, 11 March: Sister Chapter Funding applications open
- Thursday, 21 March: Sister Chapter Funding application deadline
- Wednesday, 23 April: Chapters notified of funding status
Funding and Requirements
Active chapter pairs meeting the minimum requirements may receive a grant of up to $3,000 (up to $1,500 to each chapter). An additional bonus may be awarded to each chapter for engaging in additional activities, depending on the availability of funds.
To be eligible for funding, the chapters are expected to:
- Organize at least 1 joint technical activity with a speaker from each chapter.
- Hold 1 joint student chapters activity or form a new ComSoc Student Branch chapter.
- Organize 1 activity to promote ComSoc membership.
Activities should be reported for inclusion on the SCP 2024 website. Participant chapters should also submit at least one article to the Global Communications Newsletter (GCN).
A final project report must be submitted in November (first week).
